We’re delighted to announce the launch of a new client website for Carlow PPN — a modern, accessible online platform for an organisation that plays an important role in supporting community participation and local engagement across County Carlow. Carlow PPN describes its role as helping the public and member organisations articulate their views and interests within the local government system, while encouraging participation, communication and community-led action.
The new website, www.carlowppn.ie, has been designed to provide a clearer, more user-friendly digital presence for the network and the wide range of groups it supports. The purpose of the project was to create a website that makes information easier to access, improves navigation for members and stakeholders, and presents Carlow PPN’s role in a more structured and professional way online.
Carlow PPN brings together community and voluntary, social inclusion and environmental groups in an independent structure, helping them connect, share information and participate in local decision-making. The organisation also provides members with better access to information about local authority services, activities and funding, making the website an important communication tool for the network.
A key aim of the new website was to make it easier for visitors to understand how the network works and where to find the information they need. The site now gives users a clearer path to important sections such as About, Secretariat, membership information, updates and other practical resources. Carlow PPN’s own materials explain that its Secretariat provides a coordinating and oversight function for the network, including supporting representatives, coordinating activities and helping ensure the proper functioning of the PPN between plenary meetings.
Because organisations like Carlow PPN serve a broad audience, clarity and usability were especially important in this project. The new website has been designed to support communication with existing member groups while also helping new visitors understand the value of joining and participating. Carlow PPN’s published handbook notes that membership is open to community and voluntary, social inclusion and environmental organisations across County Carlow, and describes the network as a representative body for groups and organisations from across the county.
At Istech Web Design, our goal is always to build websites that are not only professional in appearance, but practical, easy to use and built on strong foundations. Our website messaging emphasises modern, mobile-first WordPress websites with clear structure, strong on-page foundations and a straightforward path to contact or action. That same approach was applied throughout the Carlow PPN project to ensure the finished website supports both usability and long-term communication needs.
The result is a clearer and more effective online presence for Carlow PPN — one that better reflects the organisation’s work, supports its members and helps communicate its role within the wider community and local government landscape.
We’re proud to have worked with Carlow PPN on this project and we wish them every success with the new website launch.
