What is AdWords?

Google Adwords Kilkenny Google AdWords is a system which allows a user to place advertisements for their business/website which are displayed along with search results when someone searches Google using a keyword(s) that triggers the ad. Advertisements can also be displayed on Google's content network i.e. Gmail.

Google levies a charge, known as cost per click, when someone clicks on your ad which in turn brings them to your website. This charge varies from a couple of cents to a couple of euro or more depending on how many other similar advertisements exist.

There's no minimum monthly charge with AdWords - just a nominal activation fee.

Why AdWords?

In our opinion Google AdWords should not be used as a substitute for a website that suffers from poor search engine optimisation but it can prove useful in the face of high levels of competition or where a business wishes to establish itself in a new geographical location.
